Three investigations into how a single material can take on multiple spatial and tectonic roles.

THE DESIGN APPROACH
Material becomes space.
The first role uses photomontage to introduce a timber exhibition into Samode Palace without losing its context. The second explores an interior through plans and sections. The third removes the architectural shell as the starting point, allowing material assemblies to define the space itself.
